7TH - 8TH GRADE
Youth explore foods, learn about the food system, and create meals as chefs-in-training, receiving intensive culinary lessons in knife skills and cooking techniques.
Youth Chef Academy© for 7th and 8th graders promotes intake of vegetables, legumes and whole grains while addressing academic standards in math and literacy. A highly-skilled dietitan educator leads students through 6 - 12 lessons. FoodRight also provides culinary training to teachers, parents and volunteers so they can support students' development ofculinary skills.
