Registered Dietitian & Public Health Nutrition Leader with 25+ Years of Expertise in Youth Nutrition
Lisa Kingery, MS, RD, is a Milwaukee-based registered dietitian, public health nutrition leader, and Founder & CEO of FoodRight, a nonprofit dedicated to helping youth and families build lifelong healthy eating habits through hands-on culinary nutrition education and community-led policies, systems, and environmental initiatives addressing food access, education, and health. With more than 25 years of experience in school nutrition, public health, and nonprofit leadership, Lisa is recognized for developing innovative, evidence-based programs that empower children to cook, eat well, and connect food choices to long-term health.
Before founding FoodRight in 2014, Lisa led nutrition education initiatives for the Food Bank for New York City and Milwaukee’s Fondy Food Center, where she created the award-winning Youth Chef Academy curriculum. Her work has been published in the Journal of School Health and featured by The New York Times, Reuters, TMJ4, CBS 58, and Fox 6 News. Lisa holds a Master’s degree in Nutrition and Public Health from Columbia University and is widely regarded as a trusted voice on youth nutrition, healthy cooking, and equitable food access in Milwaukee and beyond.
