What We're Looking For

First and foremost, we seek individuals with a deep passion for our mission—a commitment to lifelong health for youth in Milwaukee—and who share our vision:

A world with a fair and equitable food system where all people thrive through access to wholesome food and quality education.

Beyond passion and shared vision, we welcome candidates with diverse backgrounds and skills, including but not limited to:

  • Nonprofit leadership and governance

  • Fundraising and development

  • Finance and legal expertise

  • Public health, education, and nutrition

  • Community organizing and advocacy

  • Lived experience connected to our mission and communities

Time Commitment

Board members typically commit about 4-6 hours per month, including quarterly meetings, committee work, and special events. Meetings vary between virtual or in-person participation.

How to Get Involved

If you're interested in joining our board, please email us at board@foodright.org with a brief note about your background and why you want to serve. We're happy to answer any questions and share next steps.
