Caramelized Onion dip


Serves 8


INGREDIENTS

  • 4 cups sweet onion chopped

  • ¼ teaspoon kosher salt

  • 5 Tablespoons water

  • 1 teaspoon onion powder

  • ¾ cups Greek yogurt

  • ½ cup sour cream

  • 6 Tablespoons cream cheese

  • 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce

  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder

  • 1 teaspoon onion powder

  • ½ teaspoon balsamic vinegar

  • 3-4 Tablespoons canola oil


DIRECTIONS

  1. Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add onions and stir occasionally until starting to soften, about 4 minutes.

  2. Add salt, reduce heat to medium low, keep stirring occasionally until onions are caramelized, golden brown.

  3. Add water 1 Tablespoon at a time.

  4. Remove from the heat and set aside to cool completely

  5. Whisk yogurt, sour cream, and cream cheese together in a medium bowl until smooth.

  6. Whisk in Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, balsamic vinegar.

  7. Stir onions into the yogurt mixture until well combined. Serve.
